The coming of age

I like to call it “Coming of Age” – the age where you realize how strong you are cuz there’s no other option if you are going to survive. The age where you know how vulnerable you are because you’ve been turned inside out – and everything has been exposed and hurt – so now you have empathy. The age where you realize people like you are all kinds of people because we all feel, need, and bleed the same. The coming of age happens when you decide that no one can take your power, happiness is an inside job and a choice, that food, water, education and safety are rights, that what you put out comes back to you, that freedom is for everybody and love is the way to peace.
